What a crazy week.

I haven’t actually made a legit post about my life in a while. This is new.

This past week has been a hugely mixed bag. There are moments in this week that were absolutely amazing, and there were some that drove me absolutely insane with how unfortunate and confusing they were. However, I don’t like to dwell on things like that. I just hope they resolve themselves, as soon as possible, in one way or another.

About the part of my week that was absolutely amazing: seriously, one of the coolest experiences of my life. As some of you might know, I’m currently the bass in a local Winnipeg a cappella group called Those Guys. We’ve done quite a few gigs around town, and we’ve finally gotten to the point where it’s time to record our album. Starting this past Wednesday, we’re in the studio for most of this month recording ten tracks with the wonderful folks at Private Ear Recording. It’s an absolute blast, and it’s so great being able to watch all of our hard work coming together into some really tight tracks. We’re looking at at possible June release, with a show (or maybe two!) to help kick off the release of our album.

I’ve had a lot of incredible opportunities in my music career, but being recorded and actually putting out an album of this quality is something that’s completely new to me. I’m so stoked for the rest of these recording sessions; we’re having tons of fun.

I just wanted to post about how awesome that was. Back in the studio tomorrow. STOKED.
